We are expanding the Transport East team. We have four exciting permanent positions open for experienced transport and communications professionals who are passionate about improving transport across the East.

Closing date for all roles is 3 May 2022.

Transport East operates in a hybrid way, with a mix of remote working and regular time in our host office at Suffolk County Council in Ipswich. Regional Rail and Mass Transit Lead

Salary up to £51,631

We need an experienced and strategically-minded transport planner to produce Rail and Mass Transit Plans for the East. Identifying and making the case for the next generation of rail and mass transit projects to help people and goods travel more sustainably, supporting economic growth.

 

Regional Rural Transport Lead

Salary up to £51,631

We are looking for a collaborative, experienced transport planner to develop our Rural Mobility Centre of Excellence, leading work on rural transport for all the English Sub-national Transport Bodies. With a third of our regional population living in rural areas, improving sustainable and low-carbon rural transport is a core priority for the East.

 

Senior Strategic Transport Planner

Salary up to £40,455

We need an experienced transport planning all-rounder to work closely with our Technical Programme Manager delivering a complex and expanding technical programme to progress our Transport Strategy and Investment & Delivery Plan. Covering a wide-range of transport areas including decarbonisation, modelling & analysis, bus improvements, connectivity studies, and freight & logistics.

Salary up to £34,373

We are looking for an experienced communications professional to take our engagement and communications to the next level. Working collaboratively to deliver compelling messages, build relationships and increase our impact with audiences including politicians, journalists and our regional partners.
